In addition to her international and local concert performances and teaching, Sara Andon records frequently with the Hollywood Studio Symphony. Her countless film score recordings include such blockbusters as Disney’s The Jungle Book (2016), Ice Age: Collision Course, Fast & Furious 7 & 8, The Wolverine, Tron, Straight Outta Compton, Fences, Rush Hour 3, X-Men: Apocalypse working with composers such as Marco Beltrami, Lalo Schifrin, Brian Tyler, John Debney, John Powell, Rolfe Kent, Christopher Young, John Ottman, Austin Wintory, Mark Isham and Jeff Beal. Andon’s recent recording work includes Principal Flute on Joseph Trapanese’s Lady and The Tramp for Disney+, Benjamin Wallfisch’s blockbusters IT and IT: Chapter 2, Jeff Beal’s The Biggest Little Farm as well as Jeff Russo’s Star Trek Discovery, Star Trek Picard and The Umbrella Academy. Andon is also heard on the Bruce Broughton and John Debney episodes of Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville and David Newman’s Green Eggs and Ham.
She is featured regularly on scores for video games in live performances and for recordings, including the Grammy® nominated Journey, World of Warcraft, Torn, Star Craft 2, Fortnite and League of Legends. Andon has recorded with such varied artists as Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance; Placido Domingo; Daft Punk, including their Grammy® winning album, Random Access Memories; Neil Diamond; Barry Manilow; and Billy Childs. In addition, Andon is a featured soloist on recent Varèse Sarabande recordings including 1985 At The Movies with David Newman and the Varèse Sarabande Symphony Orchestra, Elmer Bernstein: The Wild Side, with Big Band de Canarias and Jean-Michel Bernard Plays Lalo Schifrin.
Andon recorded her recent solo album Cinema Morricone – An Intimate Celebration with Italian pianist and Van Cliburn Competition Gold Medal Winner, Simone Pedroni in celebration of legendary composer Ennio Morricone’s 90th birthday. The album was released on Sony Classical in 2019 to rave reviews.
